DON8
is a unique search engine that generates funds for UK charities
(UNICEF's
Haiti Earthquake Childrens Appeal at the moment but
we hope to let our users choose the Charity that receives
funds from their searches in the future). We provide a search
facility in association with Google for users to find whatever
they are looking for on the internet. When a user carries
out a search we display featured web sites (Google Ads)
at the top & to the right of the search results (much the
same way as most search engines do). The featured web sites
offer relevant products and services to the search carried
out.
The featured web site pays a fee to Google every time one
of our users clicks through to their web site. The higher
the fee donated by the featured site the higher up the listings
they appear. Google will pay a percentage of the fee to
the UNICEF's
Haiti Earthquake Childrens Appeal every time one of
our visitors clicks through to the featured web site. EVERY
PENNY that Google pay goes to the UNICEF Appeal.
The search results presented below the Featured sites do
not donate funds to appear on the results page. We would
like our users to use the search engine as they would any
search engine and to click through to sites that offer the
products and services they are looking for.
